26-year-old Lady graduates from US university as an Aerospace Engineer, dedicates life to teaching maths to kids

After accidentally enrolling to become an engineer, 26-year-old Dajae Williams, an intelligent and gifted American woman, has achieved success in both music and science.

Inadvertently enrolling Dajae Williams in honors geometry at Kirkwood High School in Missouri, which she attended as a child, her teacher altered the path of her passion. Although her teacher acknowledged making a mistake, they are unaware of how it will impact Dajae’s life.

Dajae Williams was able to demonstrate her genius in the scientific course, nevertheless. After graduating from high school, Dajae Williams enrolled at the Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Missouri, to take an engineering course.

She recalled her mother inspiring her to try the Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) field due to its lack of gender and racial representation. “My mom convinced me to go into a STEM field,” she said.

“She saw that I was getting good at math and science, so she was like, ‘Why don’t you explore this. There’s not a lot of women. There’s not a lot of black people in this field. See what you can do. See if you can make a change.’”

Dajae Williams now works as as a rocket scientist in the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) of the United States. “Sometimes I still have to pinch myself. It’s always an exhilarating experience being around so many smart people, just being present, and taking it all in because there is so much to learn,” she said.
