Nigerian comedian and actor Bright Okpocha, better known by his stage name Basketmouth, has caved to criticism and deleted the Instagram post where he announced his divorce after being abandoned by his wife, Elsie.
On December 22, 2022, Basketmouth announced the breakdown of his marriage and promised to co-parent their children amicably with his wife. This news caused a stir.
The actor, who withheld the details of their divorce, begged people to respect their privacy.
Many people were shocked to hear the tragic news because they knew how fondly the comedian made pricey jokes.
Interestingly, his 44-year-old wife Elsie, who appeared unconcerned by the public declaration, spoke on a hot topic of women cooking for their partners on her Instagram page.

After posting Christmas family photos on Instagram without her husband, she discreetly further implied that things were not going well in their marriage.
Elsie disregarded and failed to respond to the numerous comments and inquiries on her posts regarding her husband’s divorce letter.
Basketmouth was compelled to remove the divorce letter from his page in light of the recent development.
