Charles Oputa, a Nigerian artist and social commentator known as Charly Boy, has spoken out in response to a recent viral photo of him seated in a wheelchair at an airport.
On Friday, photos of Charly Boy in a wheelchair surfaced on social media, eliciting a range of emotions, with many expressing concern for his health in light of his cancer survival.
In a tweet on Saturday, Charly Boy stated that he was fine, adding that he was simply tired of walking and begged airport personnel to push him around.
He wrote,
“I apologize if I made anybody worry about me.
“No be say anything dey do me. I just lazy/tired as I dey waka upandown for airport. So I tell officials make dem just dey push me around.
“I no dey form Chief Justice oooo and I no disguise myself to go see Tinubu for London sha.”
