Peter Obi’s ‘Obidients’ are not a threat to the APGA in 2023, according to Soludo.
Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra state has said that supporters of Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, known as the ‘Obidients,’ pose no threat to the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA in the 2023 general elections.
Soludo made this claim in a statement issued on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Political Matters, Dr Alex Obiogbolu.
The Obidient movement, he claimed, was an offshoot of the Peoples Democratic Party.
The governor of Anambra claimed that the APGA remained the country’s third largest political party.
Meanwhile, Soludo has reiterated his support for Professor Peter Umeadi’s presidential candidacy.
Soludo, who believes the main opposition party is not being fair to the South-East by zoning its presidency to the North, believes that supporting any other party could harm APGA’s chances in the 2023 general election.
The statement partly read, “APGA remains the third largest political party in Nigeria, considering the number of political offices it has won.
“APGA has a state governor, members of the National Assembly and members of the state assemblies.
“APGA does not consider the wave of the ‘Obidient Movement’ as a threat towards achieving its set goals in 2023.
