Nigerians are dragging Mr Jollof after an old video of him declaring that the next president should be under 50 years old surfaced after endorsing Atiku.
Mr Jollof, a Nigerian comedian, has been accused of hypocrisy for promoting Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.
A video showing him campaigning against Atiku was found and published on social media, and it was used to drag him.
Mr Jollof had stated that those who believe the former Vice President can salvage Nigeria are mistaken, and that the country’s next president should be under the age of 50.
He questioned what Atiku can achieve for the country and whether he is technically sophisticated enough to use WhatsApp or Instagram.
The comedian and politician claimed he has suffered losses in the entertainment industry as a result of his outspokenness against political misrule and corruption.
He also stated in the video that he is aware that politicians dominate the industry and everything in Nigeria, but he is not someone who can be influenced or silenced.
This comes only weeks after Mr Jollof abandoned the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in favor of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) contender, Atiku Abubakar.
The entertainer made the announcement in a video broadcast on his personal Instagram page, noting that he is forward to work with Atiku.
