Nigerians will not elect a ghost president in 2023, from Atiku to Tinubu.

Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has described Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, presidential flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as an absent candidate.

Atiku’s spokesman, Phrank Shaibu, said on Wednesday that electorates will not vote for a “ghost President” in 2023.

The former vice president accused Tinubu of avoiding public scrutiny and using proxies to answer questions that only candidates should answer.

Following the former Lagos governor’s town hall meeting with the Organized Private Sector, the statement was issued (OPS).

Atiku cited Tinubu’s failure to accept an invitation from the Lagos Chamber of Commerce Industry (LCCI) and instead “organized his own” conference at the same venue as the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) conference he did not attend.

He added; “His aides spoke more than he did at the event, an indication that he didn’t even need to be there in the first place.

“Clearly Tinubu plans to run a proxy government in the unfortunate event that he wins the presidential election”.
