Nkechi Blessing, a popular Nollywood actress, has revealed why she chose to twerk during a judges’ dance competition at the Queen Moremi Ajasoro beauty pageant in Ife over the weekend.

The actress, who was a judge at the cultural pageant, became famous after videos of her twerking furiously in front of the Ooni of Ife at the ceremony went viral on the internet.

The actress, who had previously openly expressed her interest in the Yoruba monarch, received a barrage of reactions from Nigerians online, including a jab from her ex-lover, Falegan.

Nkechi explained the reason for the suggestive dance moves by saying she was losing a dance competition to a colleague and decided to change things up.

According to her, her trick worked, and she eventually finished first runner-up and received a N250,000 cash prize from the king.

“About yesterday’s judge’s dance competition as my Oga @fagboyobamidele don Dey win me I say make I improvise but las las I came second and walked away with 250k courtesy the king @ooniadimulaife May You live long sir..God bless you abundantly for putting smiles on d faces of millions”.
