According to Emenike, the Abia APC will establish a 700-member governorship campaign council in 2023.
Chief Ikechi Emenike, an APC candidate for governor in Abia State, claimed that the party had finalized plans to form a 700-person campaign council for the general election of 2023.
The candidate for governor revealed that the 184 wards in the state would be represented on the campaign council, and that each member would bring a variety of experiences to the party’s campaigns.
Emenike promised that his message of liberation would reach every corner of Abia during a gathering of APC leaders at his Umukabia country home in the Umuahia North council area.
The liberation movement he is leading is divinely ordained to put Abia on the path of real development, he added, urging the party leaders to maintain their winning mentality.
His words; “God has watered the ground on which we have planted in Abia and now we are waiting for our harvest of victory coming up in 2023.Those conspiring to make the party’s 2023 liberation movement derail were working in vain. The meeting of party leaders and stakeholders from state and local governments was convened for the purpose of fine-tuning the list of his campaign council to make it comprehensive and inclusive.
“The truth of the matter is that we are on solid ground. We are on the right path; nobody should be bothered by the distractions.”
He pointed out that the main opposition party did not suddenly find itself on such a high pedestal; rather, it was the result of years of painstaking planning.
In her remarks, Rev. Mrs. Gloria Akara, the Deputy Governorship candidate, urged Abia APC leaders and members to emulate Emenike’s passion and dedication in his declared mission to save and develop Abia.
“Chief Emenike really wants to change the narrative in Abia. I see victory; I see victory ahead,” she declared, adding that “this is our season to run with him” and make Abia better.
The Peoples Democratic Party, which is currently in power, has mismanaged the state, according to Sir Friday Nwosu, the National Welfare Secretary of the APC. He emphasized that the people of Abia are now looking to the APC to remedy the situation.
He claimed that Emenike is the only candidate for governor in the 2023 election who is not connected in any way to the theft of Abia’s riches, and he added that those responsible for the state’s destruction would soon be evicted from the government building.
We have victory in our hands; God will reward our efforts, Nwosu praised Emenike for helping to build Abia APC and put it in a strong position to unseat the ruling party.
Dr. Kingsley Ononogbu, the chairman of the Abia APC, urged party leaders to show their ability and dedication to the party’s 2023 project to free Abia from the tyrannical rule of inept leaders.
“We must work and work harder; we must make sacrifices as much as needed to achieve our collective goal,” he said.
