Wizkid promises music tour with Davido
Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, better known by his stage name Wizkid, is a Nigerian Afrobeats superstar who has revealed that he will tour alongside Davido.
The Grammy winner announced it on social media, saying he would carry out his vow after the More Love, Less Ego album tour.
Wizkid urged supporters to set aside money to purchase tickets because he does not want to hear excuses for why they were unable to attend.
He shared a photo of himself and wrote; “After MLLE tour! Davido and I going on tour! Save your coins!! I no wan hear pim!!”
Fans were ecstatic by the announcement and couldn’t suppress how ready they were to see the heavyweights team together.
Davido had postponed his A.W.A.Y Festival and declared in November 2022 that he will not have any shows until November 2023, thus it might not materialize until the end of the year or in 2024.
After the unexpected passing of his 3-year-old son, Ifeanyi Adeleke Jr., his management made the news, and he postponed.
The statement read; “We have made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone A.W.A.Y Festival until Saturday, November 18, 2023.
To all ticket buyers, your tickets will be honored for the 2023 date. We understand that you must be disappointed but we promise to come back with a bigger and better show. Thank you for understanding and we look forward to seeing you all in the near future.”
