Ahmed Ololade, better known as Asake, a Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, has set a record with his debut album, “Mr Money With The Vibes.”
The project has received 200 million streams on the global streaming platform Boomplay, making it the first debut album by a Nigerian artist to do so.
Mr Money with the Vibes was released on September 7th, and it quickly rose to the top of the charts in Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
In addition to receiving rave reviews for the album, he has joined the ranks of trend setters by amassing 200 million streams on Boomplay.
It is now the second afrobeats album to accomplish this feat. Twice As Tall, Burna Boy’s Grammy-winning debut album, was released first.

Additionally, “Mr. Money With The Vibe” debuted at No. 1 on the Top Albums Chart in 31 different nations, including Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. This was a first for an African album.
Numerous tracks from Asake’s album made it to the Daily Top 100 in 60 different nations, including 26 where they debuted in the top 10.
The album’s top songs also peaked at No. 1 in 14 different nations.
