Burna Boy, Tems, and Rema, three prominent musicians from Nigeria, have been scheduled to perform at the NBA All-Star Game halftime performance in 2023.
The declaration was published on Wednesday by the National Basketball Association (NBA) on its social media platforms.
Burna, Rema, and Tems will all perform as the game’s featured acts in Utah, and they are anticipated to dazzle the crowd with an Afrobeats-themed performance.
“GRAMMY Award-winning singer, songwriter and record producer @burnaboy, 2023 GRAMMY Award-winning singer and Oscar-nominated singer and producer @temsbaby and rapper and singer @heisrema will headline the NBA All-Star Game 2023 halftime show with an Afrobeats-themed performance,’‘ the announcement read.
After the game, the NBA announced that it would honor LeBron James for surpassing Michael Jordan as the league’s all-time leading scorer.
On February 19, 2023, the 72nd All-Star Game will begin at Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City at 8:30 p.m. ET and be broadcast on TNT.
