Davido was honored for breaking a record that no Nigerian musician has broken in three years.
Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, commonly known as Davido, is being recognized for his role as a trailblazer in the Nigerian music business.
On November 21, 2022, the DMW boss turned a new age, and fans and colleagues alike rushed to social media to celebrate in various ways.
While some wrote poignant messages, others shared videos and photos of happy moments they had with Davido in the past.
All of this was done to show moral support to the singer, who is still grieving the death of his son, Ifeanyi.
A music content creation page @wetalksound unearthed a record making moment of the Fem crooner where he appeared as the first Nigerian artiste on A Colors Show in 2016.
He performed an acoustic version of his song, Skelewu which was released in that same year.
The post reads; ”Did you know Davido’s Colors Show in 2016 was the first ever appearance from a Nigerian? The 001 for real 💎”
