Comedian Basketmouth slams Peter Okoye, “Nobody is self-made”
In order to gain ground in his battle with Seun Kuti, ace comedian Basketmouth called out singer Peter Okoye for disparaging his father.
According to Kemi Filani, Peter Okoye said that his father is a nobody and that he is self-made, in contrast to Fela, who depends on his father’s history, during a social media argument with Afrobeats singer Seun Kuti.
In response, Basketmouth, who holds a different viewpoint, said that no one is self-made.
He swore that many of us wouldn’t be alive today if our fathers had never lived.
“IF OUR FATHERS NEVER EXISTED, WE WON’T BE HERE.
NOBODY IS ‘SELF MADE’”.
Singer Brymo had already commented on the controversy by criticizing Peter Okoye of Psquare for demeaning Seun Kuti.
Brymo responded by criticizing Peter Okoye for undermining Seun Kuti. He argued that Peter Okoye’s boasting about his position has denigrated Seun while defending Seun.
Brymo started a fight by saying he doubted the singer’s success since he has sponsors.
“Bros…you never delete?…you go keep this post wey trifle your pops, just cause it reads like you are self-made and he inherited fame?…that’s your point right?…this belittle yours. This is quite self serving, I doubt you own your successes, you belong to your sponsors?”.
