‘My only inspiration is Fela,’ Seyi Vibes responds to those who claim he imitates Asake’s style.

Seyi Vibes, a rising Afrobeats singer, has taken to social media to address claims that his style is similar to that of his colleague, Asake.

Both artists have recently released songs that have received a lot of airplay in the country, but one thing that has fans talking is the similarity in tune and melody.

Seyi, who appears to be tired of the comparison, stated that he does not copy anyone’s style and that his only inspiration is late Afrobeats legend, Fela Kuti.

The “Billion Dollar Baby” singer explained that he was not inspired by any of the new generation afrobeats singers.

In an Instagram story post, Seyi Vibes stated that his backup choir draws inspiration from the late Fela Anikulapo-Kuti and no one else.

He wrote; ”My choir backup is inspired by -FELA KUTI

I repeat FELA KUTI !!!

None of the Musicians in my league inspired my Sound. Only the OG’s did.”
