Chicken was a car wash attendant who made people believe he’s a DJ – Portable
Habeeb Okikiola, a Nigerian artist better known by his stage name Portable, has opened up about his connection with DJ Chicken, a former business partner, and his decision to change careers.
The Zazuu Zeh actor claimed that before getting into disc jockeying, DJ Chicken worked at a car wash business where he met him.
Chicken used to hire individuals to make jingles that show him as a top disc jockey even though, according to Portable, at the time he was only an attendant and not yet a DJ.

In related developments, Don Jazzy, the CEO of Mavin Records, has stated that he counsels his signees to take lessons from Portable’s divisive nature.
Don Jazzy claimed that anytime he advises his artists on how to stay current in the music business, he cites the Zazuu star as an example.
This was said by the music mogul during an interview with Joey Akan on the Afrobeats Intelligence Podcast.
Additionally, BNXN (formerly Buju) and Portable, who both rose to prominence in 2021, were compared and contrasted.
Don Baba J pointed out that BNXN already had seven songs on the charts when Portable first gained notoriety with his breakthrough single, Zazuu Zeh, thanks to Olamide, but the controversial singer’s fan base increased to a million faster.
He continued by saying that even if he doesn’t release music, the fact that he always does provocative or questionable things keeps him in the press and keeps him relevant.
The Mavin boss claimed that when he meets with his employees, he encourages more than just playing enjoyable music and unwinding. He claimed that if they put themselves out there and do things that will make their names appear in talks like Portable does, the system will favor them.
