With the release of his most recent album, Timeless, multi-award-winning Nigerian musician David Adeleke aka Davido has achieved a record-breaking feat.
On March 31st, he released the album, and in the first day, 12 million people listened to it on the international streaming service Audiomack.
Timeless is the only album to ever reach such numbers on the platform on the first day of its release.
In response to the announcement made by Audiomack Africa on its official Twitter page, Davido expressed surprise.
Audiomack wrote; “RECORD-BREAKING: @davido’s #Timeless had over 12 MILLION streams in its first 24 hours, more than any other album on Audiomack, ever! 🏆 🎉”
The message was cited by the DMW creator, who wrote, “Woah!”
