France into final as Morocco go down fighting

Theo Hernandez’s opening goal and Randal Kolo Muani’s late goal sent France into a heavyweight World Cup final against Argentina on Wednesday, ending struggling Morocco’s dream run with an exciting 2-0 victory.

entire back After five minutes, Hernandez stretched high to score the first goal against Morocco in the tournament after a flurry in the box, but the hosts only occasionally shown their brilliance.

Hugo Lloris spectacularly saved Jawad El Yamiq’s overhead kick at the conclusion of the first half, and Morocco, who had been hampered by the early injuries to two crucial defenders, rebounded to cause a plethora of issues in the second.

They were unable to continue their incredible run, which included victories over Belgium, Spain, and Portugal and made them the first African team to advance to the semifinals. However, they were unable to create a clear enough opportunity for the equalizer.

With less than a minute having passed since Kolo Muani’s introduction, Kylian Mbappe’s brilliant dribble set up the French to win it in the 79th minute. Muani scored the game-winning goal with his first touch.

Being the first defending champions to advance to consecutive finals since Brazil in 2002, France can now look ahead to Sunday’s matchup where they will attempt to become the third team to successfully defend their championship after Brazil (1962) and Italy (1938).
