I pray before every stage performance – Davido

David Adeleke aka Davido, a Nigerian Afrobeats singer, has revealed that he prays before every performance on stage.

In a Forbes article, the DMW boss discussed the latest issue of Forbes’ Afrobeats All-Star; Pioneering The New Global Sound.

According to the “FEM” singer, his team is aware that he does not miss entrusting his show to God before taking the stage.

Davido said he learned a lot from his father, Mr Adedeji Adeleke, especially about Christianity and living a humble life.

The music excutive said; “I learned so much from being around my dad, watching him in the office, hearing him on the phone, seeing how he handled life. He’s very humble, principled and a strong Christian. Before I step on any stage, my team knows not to mess with my prayers.”

He also stated that he initially kept his music career hidden from his family because the norm was for him to go to school, graduate, and then work for his father.
