PDP members in Plateau clean the APC presidential flag-off venue in Jos.

Many Jos residents, mostly youths, who support the opposition PDP, flocked to the Rwang Pam stadium, the site of the APC campaign launch, on Wednesday to participate in a cleansing exercise.

Their action came just 24 hours after the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign kicked off in the Plateau capital.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), several PDP support groups among the youths said their action was to demonstrate their commitment to voting out the APC in Plateau in the next political dispensation.

The action, according to Kamru Sani, the Director General of the Atiku Motivational Movement, is intended to sweep away what the APC brought to the state.

According to Sani, Plateau is a PDP stronghold that is poised to return to winning ways.

“We are here to sweep out all they brought here, as PDP is for Plateau and Nigeria”.

“The party is set to be on winning ways again, as it has shown that it is the true party for the state.

“The party will bring relief to the sufferings that citizens of the state and Nigeria have had to endure in the last seven years,” he said.

In addition, Mohammed Hassan, national coordinator of the PDP Youth Amendment Movement, stated that the movement would safeguard the future of Nigerian youths.

Hassan stated that Nigerians have witnessed the type of leadership seen in the last seven years and urged Nigerians to vote PDP in 2023. (NAN)
