PHOTOS: Peter Obi and Soludo meet in Awka

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) candidate for president, and Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, the governor of Anambra state, met in Awka today.

Obi and Soludo, who first met at the Thanksgiving mass for Most Rev. Bishop Ezeokafor’s 70th birthday at St. Patrick Cathedral in Awka, could be seen cuddling up while exchanging pleasantries.

Recall that Soludo had previously asserted that Obi’s investment in the Anambra state government was practically worthless.

In an interview with Politics Today on Channels TV last Thursday, Soludo made this claim.

Soludo responded simply, “I don’t know about the investment,” when asked for his opinion on government investments outside the public sector with reference to Obi as the former governor of Anambra.

“Our interview is about the 2023 budget. I’m not talking about investments of any of my predecessors. By the way the one that you talked about I don’t know about that. I think there was something I read about somebody speculating about whatever investment. With what I’ve seen today, the value of those investments is worth next to nothing. So, let’s leave that aside,” he said.
