In their 1-0 loss to Brazil on MD2, Switzerland managed just one shot on goal in the first half. Five of their six attempts came in the second half. In the first half of games during the opening two games of the 2022 World Cup, only three teams had fewer shots than the Swiss.
The only player to have scored more than one World Cup goal for Serbia is Aleksandar Mitrovic, who has seven goals in his last six appearances for the nation in all competitions.
At the 2022 World Cup, only Manuel Akanji (124) and Nico Elvedi, a central defensive pair for Switzerland, completed 100+ passes. They’ve also passed to one another 46 times, which is more than any other pair of Swiss outfielders.
In his last eight games for Serbia in all competitions, Dusan Tadic has contributed to eight goals, including an assist in the most recent matchup between Serbia and Cameroon.
