TikTok stars imprisoned for portraying Ganduje as “corrupt” in a skit

Mubarak Muhammed and Nazifi Muhammed, two Tiktok skit creators who created a controversial video about the state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, have been remanded in Kano State Magistrate Court.

According to the Peoples Gazette, they were charged with defaming the governor’s character with a skit depicting him as corrupt.

Mubarak Muhammed, also known as Uniquepikin, and his colleague painted Ganduje as a corrupt official who had sold the majority of the state’s lands.

Following the reading of the charges of conspiracy and defamation of the state helmsman, Uniquepikin and Nazif pleaded guilty.

The two Tikokers were subsequently remanded in prison custody by the presiding Magistrate, Aminu Gambari.

He rescheduled the case for November 7, 2022.
