Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, has married Tobi Phillips, one of the ladies he was linked to, just days after it was claimed that he will marry two women before his 48th birthday in October.
His wedding to the former beauty queen took place on Sunday, October 9th.
Tobi is now the Osun monarch’s third wife, however this is his sixth marriage.
Oba Adeyeye was formerly married to Adebukola Bombata in 2008 before his coronation in 2016, however the marriage ended after his coronation.
Ooni married Edo-born Zainab-Otiti Obanor in 2016 after being crowned; their marriage lasted 17 months before they divorced. In 2018, he married Naomi Silekunola.
Ooni’s recent marriage comes 10 months after Queen Naomi Silekunola announced her divorce from the monarch in December 2021 on social media.
He wedded Olori Mariam Anako of Ebira land in Kogi State and Olori Elizabeth Opeoluwa Ogunwusi nee Akinmuda this year.
Tobi was seen kneeling at the wedding ceremony on Sunday as she got blessings from her family.
Despite the absence of the Ooni, the King dispatched his guards, chief, and royal staff.
Tobi Phillips was a beauty queen who took home the title of World Miss University Africa (WMUA) in 2012.
Tobi Phillips is the owner of the prominent fashion line QTP Luxury Fashion and a 3D artist since 2018.
She is from Okitipupa, Ondo State, and has worked for the Ooni for almost six years.
She is a lovely lady with the appearance of a queen.
