Nigeria: It’s time to stop making music and return to school, Blaqbonez counsels Rema.

Divine ‘Rema’ Ikubor, a younger colleague, has been counseled by Nigerian rap star Emeka Akumefule, also known as Blaqbonez, to enroll in school again.

Recalls Rema’s admission to the University of Lagos, which was announced in January 2022.

But a month later, when the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) started striking, higher education institutions closed.

The union ended the strike earlier this month after roughly eight months of closure, and many universities have already resumed operations.

Following the development, Blaqbonez told Rema that while he appreciates his enthusiasm on his current music tour, education is crucial, which is why it’s crucial for him to go and continue his studies.

He wrote on Twitter: ”Hey @heisrema, love your tour energy and things but education is Key as no knowledge is lost. it’s time to get Back in Uni !! 🖤”
