Nigeria: Soso did not send anyone to kill me- Harrisons retracts Sosoberekon allegations
Nigerian singer Harrison Okiri, also known as Harrysong, has withdrawn his claims against music executive Soso Soberekon.
Remember that Mr Songz, as he is also known, previously accused Soberekan of hiring assassins against him during an interview on the Frankly Speaking podcast, which is co-hosted by comedian Nedu Wazobia.
“If you see Soso now you’ll say Soso na my friend. Soso is not my friend, Soso is my enemy. He sent people to come and kill me in Port Harcourt, no jokes. Ask my team, ask everyone,” he said in the episode which aired last week.
However, in a video posted on his Instagram page on Saturday, the singer retracted his statement.
He also assured fans that he had reconciled with the music executive.
“About the video that was trending last week that some group of boys made an attempt on my life, yes it was true. It was a group of boys that were misled, I now have clarity, it wasn’t Soso who sent them.
“I and Soso are good now, so guys thanks to everyone that reached out,” Harrysong said.
Harrysong’s new statement follows his arrest by Nigerian authorities on Tuesday. After landing in Lagos, the singer was picked up at the airport and taken into custody.
