A 6-year-old genius child has been admitted to Oxford University, making him the youngest African student ever admitted to a UK university.

6-year-old Joshua Beckford, the youngest person ever admitted to Oxford University in the United Kingdom, was born to Nigerian parents. Joshua Beckford has been accepted to study Philosophy and History at the university.

Despite having Autism, Joshua Peckford is a genius and one of the world’s most brilliant minds. Knox Daniel, Joshua’s father, discovered that he is not a typical boy at 10 months old after observing that he had memorized and understood letters on a computer keyboard simply by sitting with him.

Joshua was two years old when he learned to read and speak Japanese using phonics. Joshua stated that by the age of four, he could play with his laptop and use a simulator to pull out body organs.

His father, astounded by his son’s great intellectual capacity, recognized that his son’s mind was too advanced for a standard curriculum. As a result, he homeschooled him and later wrote to Oxford University to see if he could take part in a philosophy course for bright children aged eight to thirteen.

Joshua was six years old at the time, but he was accepted to study Philosophy and History at the prestigious University of Oxford in England. He was the university’s youngest student when he was admitted, and he graduated with honors in both courses.

“Since the age of four, I was on my dad’s laptop and it had a body simulator where I would pull out organs. I want to save the earth. I want to change the world and change people’s ideas to doing the right things about earth,” Joshua said.
