Cash Withdrawal Limit: No Nigerian requires more than N100,000 in cash per week — Reno Omokri

Former presidential aide Reno Omokri has spoken out in support of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s recently imposed cash withdrawal limit.

Remember that the CBN recently limited the maximum over-the-counter (OTC) cash withdrawals by individuals and corporate organizations per week to N100,000 and N500,000, respectively.

In response to the policy’s critics, Omokri stated that no Nigerian requires more than N100,000 in cash on a weekly basis.

He went on to say that, aside from paying for transportation and groceries, everything can be done without using cash.

He tweeted;

There is no Nigerian that needs more than ?100k cash weekly. Other than paying bus conductor or buying groceries, everything can be done cashless. It is kidnappers, bandits and sexual bandits (urgent 2k girls) who are fighting this policy using political godfathers
