Tina Turner, the ‘Queen of Rock’n Roll,’ died peacefully at the age of 83 today in her home in Küsnacht, near Zurich, Switzerland, after a long illness. ‘With her, the world has lost a music legend and a role model,’ her representatives said in a statement.

The American-born singer was a well-known female rock vocalist, known for her on-stage presence and a string of hits such as The Best, Proud Mary, Private Dancer, and What’s Love Got to Do With It.
