Ace Nigerian music producer Pheelz has described how the smash song Finesse was created with BNXN, a rising star of the Afrobeats genre (formerly Buju).
He claimed that the musician got in touch with him via Instagram and expressed interest after hearing an unofficially released song snippet and questioning whether it was a TikTok sound.
Pheelz revealed this in an interview, saying he gave BNXN a verse on the song even though it was his mixed and mastered tune that he was about to release.
He said that although the song was already finished, he could take out a verse if BNXN so desired. The “Traboski” crooner agreed to the offer.
Pheelz claimed that’s how they got together in the studio to record the second verse, giving birth to the 2022 smash, Finesse.
Additionally, he claimed that BNXN disclosed he had always desired to collaborate with him ever since learning that he was the producer of Fireboy DML’s debut album, Laughter Tears and Goosebumps.
