“Remember What We Discussed,” D’banj Says to Davido on His Birthday, Amid Their Children’s Pool Tragedy
Veteran singer, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo nicknamed Dbanj, has joined many of his peers in the entertainment industry in wishing Davido a happy 30th birthday on November 21.
Emotions have remained high amid the singer’s birthday celebrations since the tragic death of Davido’s son, Ifeanyi, rocked the public sphere like a thunderbolt.
On Monday, October 31, 2022, the three-year-old kid apparently drowned in a pool at the singer’s Banana Island home.
Ifeanyi died exactly four years after D’banj’s one-year-old son, Daniel jnr, died in similar circumstances. The artist was in Los Angeles, California, for the BET Awards when the tragic occurrence occurred.
Similarly, Davido and his baby mother, Chioma Rowland, were reportedly on their way to Ibadan for a family gathering when the terrible tragedy occurred.
D’banj recently headed to Instagram to send a special birthday post to Davido and wish him well.
The Kokomaster, who has suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of his son’s death, begged the singer to remember their conversation and counseled the bereaved celebrant to believe in God at this difficult time.
He tagged the Singer and wrote;
“Happy Birthday To You My Brother @davido. I know that this birthday may be a difficult one for you but I pray for long life in Strength, Wisdom and Grace
Don’t forget like we discussed, Trust God and pls Know Your RESTORATION Is certain.”
Fans took to the comment section to appreciate the Veteran Singer for reaching out to the DMW Boss.
