“Wizkid would have done better” – Reactions to Davido’s freestyle prowess in new video

A video of popular Nigerian musician David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, freestyling to his own beat during an interview has gone viral, eliciting a wide range of reactions from internet users.

Davido, who recently described fleeing his father’s $60 million home to sleep at a friend’s studio, shows off his freestyling skills on 92.3 FM, a commercial urban radio station in Los Angeles.

Davido sang a freestyle from the children’s book Llama Llama Red Pajamas in the viral video.

Davido, as expected, uses his beat “Unavailable” to deliver words while also demonstrating his incredibly rich flow even when he is not on stage.

While some praised Davido’s freestyling abilities, others chastised him, pointing out that his industry rival, Wizkid, would have done better.
