Young Nigerian man wins scholarship to study Mechanical Engineering in 3 US and Canada universities, lands in Alberta
Goodluck Obi Agu, a young and gifted Nigerian, has obtained scholarships from three universities, including the University of Alberta, the University of Alabama, and the University of Rochester in New York, United States, to pursue both master’s and doctoral degrees.
In Abeokuta, South-West Nigeria, at the Federal University of Agriculture, Goodluck Agu began his further education career and graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering.
He applied for various scholarships after completing his undergraduate degree and was given Fully Funded Scholarships at colleges in the US and Canada.
“This past application cycle, I also received a couple of other exciting offers, notably: the University of Rochester—where I got selected as recipient of the Robert Chen fellowship, and the University of Alabama—where I received a direct PhD-ship,” he wrote on LinkedIn.
Nonetheless, he clarified that he had made the decision to accept the University of Alberta’s offer and had started his Master’s program in Mechanical Engineering there.
