Excitement As Wizkid And Carter Efe Finally Meet, Hug In Lagos [Video]

Carter Efe, a Nigerian content creator, released a video of the moment he finally touched hands with his favorite musician, Ayodeji “Wizkid” Balogun.

He tweeted about the encounter, calling it both a personal victory and a preview of what fans might anticipate in 2023.

Carter Efe claimed that he started the year believing in possibilities and finished it by meeting his ideal.

He wrote; “Began the Year Believing, Ending the year Achieving.😭 This is a snippet of next year. CHARIS❤️🦅 Wizkid fc 4life❤️🦅”

In the video he shared, Wizkid enthusiastically embraced Carter when Carter introduced himself to the Joro singer backstage.

Another clip showed the comedian on stage with Berri Tiga singing his hit song, Machala, during the Landmark Beach concert in Lagos.

Despite attempts to get Wizkid’s attention during the just finished Landmark Beach event in Lagos, Carter apparently snubbed him.

In a another video that went viral online, the two were backstage when the prankster began praising Big Wiz, who was allegedly waiting to be called on stage for his performance.

Carter, who was unable to approach the Grammy winner in person, had to welcome him from a distance of a few steps, but Wizkid would not turn to face him or acknowledge his presence.

Berri Tiga, a young singer, was with Efe when Wizkid repeatedly ignored their praises of him.

Days prior, the comedian-turned-singer expressed his desire to meet Wizkid.

He claimed that when he learned Wizkid was in Lagos, he thought it would be the ideal chance to meet the artist who had served as the inspiration for one of his songs.

Even though Carter had never met or seen Big Wiz in person, he had already created the popular song Machala as a tribute to him.

Starboy, who resides in Ghana with his family, recently arrived in Nigeria for his yearly end-of-year event, which was held in Lagos.

Carter Efe took to his Twitter account and wrote; “I wan see Wizkid. Wizkid don dey Lagos.”
