Korede Bello explains why no record company has signed him: “I am not an artist under Mavin Records, but I’m still a Mavin at heart.”
Years after leaving Mavin, singer Korede Bello claims that no record label has signed him.
While confirming that he is no longer signed to Mavin Records because their contractual agreement expired, he made this known during a radio interview.
Bello reportedly quietly left the Don Jazzy-owned record company in 2017.
However, the “Godwin” hitmaker revealed that he has a partnership with ONErpm, a company that handles digital distribution.
Korede Bello added that despite not being a Mavin Records artist, he is still a Mavin at heart.
In response to a question about whether he is still interested in being signed to a different record label, the singer said that while labels used to be necessary to assist with distribution, promotion, and production, this is no longer the case.
The emphasis is on getting distribution companies to list the project on platforms because, according to Korede, there are digital music stores.
