Young boy who treks 11km from work to school every day wins car gift from generous woman, celebrates success
A compassionate woman noticed that Jayden Sutton, a young high school student, trekked 7 miles (11 km) each way to school every day in order to support his education, and she gave him a significant present in appreciation.
Senior high school student from Cobb County in Georgia, Jayden Sutton comes from the United States. Due to his parents’ financial difficulties, the diligent young lad chose to work at a restaurant to earn money to pay for his schooling.
He frequently had to go from his school to the restaurant where he works, then every day he had to walk back home. Sutton informed the publication that he would leave for work at the restaurant after school at 3:30 p.m. The teen left for home after his shift, which typically lasted six to eight hours, occasionally not getting there until almost midnight.
However, the 18-year-old was fortunate after meeting Lavonda Wright Myers, a kind woman. She claims that she gave Jayden Sutton a ride after seeing him hiking in a light rain as she was driving by.
“On, Dec 10, I passed a 12th grade stranger walking in a light rain at the speed of lightning headed to work after school. After working a 7hr shift, He would walk miles back in the cold arriving home around 1130pm at night with this same smile,” she narrated in a Facebook post.
She promised Jayden Sutton on that same day that the next time they meet, she will have gotten him a car. “I told him in BOLD FAITH the next time you see me it’ll be with a car the lord’s going to bless you with. We prayed together on the steps of his job and activated our faith,” she stated.
