Brilliant Nigerian Scientist wins 3 Masters scholarships to Germany, Netherlands and Finland at the same time
After receiving multiple rejections, Ngozi Edum, a talented scientist from Nigeria, has now been awarded three scholarships to pursue a Master’s degree simultaneously in Germany, the Netherlands, and Finland.
With a fully funded Erasmus Mundus European Scholarship, Ngozi Edum declared her intention to enroll in the University of Eastern Finland for a Master’s degree in European Forestry. The Erasmus Mundus Scholarship provides full funding to international students as well as a monthly stipend of between $1400 and $1500.
Ngozi Edum while narrating her scholarship journey explained that she received several rejections and was placed on reserve for some postgraduate applications. “In 2021 I began the journey again, and I am happy that I received my YES. I didn’t just receive one YES, I got 3 offers,” she said.
Ngozi, who got three (3) scholarships concurrently, explained that she received a Germany DAAD EPOS Scholarship to study tropical forestry at Technische Universität Dresden. Additionally, she was awarded a scholarship from the Africa Scholarship Program to study forest and nature conservation at Wageningen University & Research in the Netherlands.
The Germany DAAD Scholarship provides Fully Funded Scholarships for International Students with €10,792 annual stipends to study in Germany, just like the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship does. The 2023 version’s application period ended in August.
