Friends gave me bad advice – Lyta discusses his rise and fall since quitting YBNL.
Lyta, a Nigerian Afropop musician born Opeyemi Babatunde Rahim, has spoken about the difficulties he has faced as a result of mistakes he made as a potential singer.
He claimed that individuals gave him advice that he should not have heeded as a rising musician, but he was young and naive at the time.
According to him, when he released his breakout hit song, ‘Time,’ featuring Olamide, he let industry pals get inside his brain with their gossip.
Lyta, who was formerly signed to YBNL Nation, stated that things began to go wrong for him after he left the Olamide-owned label after taking advice.
The ‘Worry’ singer, on the other hand, stated that even though Olamide unfollowed him on Instagram, he had a good relationship with his old boss.
Lyta also stated that he does not blame himself for his terrible mistakes since he feels that such experiences are supposed to offer younger artists a living lesson.
The artist also expressed his desire to return to YBNL to Olamide.
