Portable reacts to hardship in the country saying, Nigeria don rip us oh, akoi colour colour money

In a recent video, popular Nigerian musician Habeeb Okikiola, a.k.a. Portable, addresses the current hardship in the nation as a result of the rollout of the newly redesigned naira notes.

In a video posted to his official Instagram page today, Portable sobs as he discusses the challenges he is now facing in getting access to money.

After the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) extended the window for using the old notes until February 10, 2023, this has happened. Nigerians have earlier requested a delay in the deadline due to a lack of available fresh notes.

The new, redesigned naira notes have, in Portable’s opinion, done more harm than good for society because banks haven’t been able to distribute money to everyone, which has made things rather unpleasant.

He continued by saying that the POS operators’ fees had been doubled, further complicating matters for the cash.

Additionally, Portable discusses the country’s lack of gasoline and, in turn, notes how this has increased food prices among other things. Later, he swears at the government.
