The phone of former Vice President Namadi Sambo was stolen at the occasion.
Pickpockets took the phone of former Vice President Namadi Sambo during a ceremony in Abuja on Thursday, October 6.
Senator Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna politician, confirmed the theft on his verified Twitter feed, noting that it occurred at a book launch.
The former vice president was invited as a guest of honor to the public presentation of the biography of the late former Plateau State governor, Solomon Lar, and the establishment of the Solomon Lar Leadership Institute.
Sani, who was shocked by the occurrence, said it was impossible that security was compromised at the event.
He wrote; “It’s incredible that someone can breach the tight security line and steal the phone of the former VP Sambo at the ongoing late Governor Solomon Lar Book launch in Abuja”.
