Kenya: Rachel and the president arrive at Uhuru Gardens

For the Mashujaa Day celebrations, President William Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto have arrived at Uhuru Gardens.

Around 10:45 am, Ruto’s motorcade departed the State House towards Uhuru Gardens, where it arrived at 11:02 am.

President Ruto stepped out of his ceremonial open Land-Rover while wearing a black suit and crimson tie.

As he was led around the arena by the presidential vehicle, he waved to the joyful audience that was chanting greetings of welcome.

As he went round for the last time in his presidency, the Kenyan patriotic song “ Kenya Kenya Kenya taifa letu” was played.
