Why I refused to perform at Mr Jollof’s event after collecting money – Zinoleesky finally clears the air (Video)
Young Afrobeats musician Zinoleesky has dispelled the claim made by comedian Mr. Jollof that he declined to appear at a gig even though he had been paid.
According to a report from October 2022, Jollof charged the performer with breaching a promise to appear at an event after accepting payment.
The comedian said in a video that the singer of the hit song “Kilofeshe” showed up at the venue but fled when it came time to take the stage as planned.
Zinoleesky was called out by Mr. Jollof on his Instagram page, who claimed that he was paid N5 million to perform rather than receive payment for his participation. The politician then vowed to discipline the singer for acting too powerful to act morally.
In response to the claim, Zino stated during a radio broadcast that inclement weather was the reason he was unable to perform that day.
He claimed that while Niniola was entertaining audience members, it began to rain. He was supposed to take the stage after her.
He claimed that the singer left the venue two minutes later due to the rain, and after observing what transpired, he too made the decision to depart.
It is significant to note that Zinoleesky supported Mr. Jollof’s later claim that they resolved their differences amicably and there was no argument.
