Winnie Nwagi, the first Ugandan to perform at Wembley Arena, will share the stage with Diamond Platinumz, Lojay, and Sarkodie.

Winnie Nwagi, better known as ‘Fire Baby,’ is undoubtedly on fire. Following a fantastic Debut performance at Lugogo Cricket Oval last month, the Swangz Avenue singer is overjoyed to have landed a lucrative landmark job in the United Kingdom.

Nwagi is slated to become the first Ugandan musician to perform in The Ovo Arena, Wembley, a famed London music and events venue.

Boss Entertainment has hired the ‘Malaika’ singer to appear at the highly awaited ‘Celebrating Africa’ concert on October 21, 2022. Addo David, a Nigerian event promoter, owns Boss Entertainment.

Nwagi will perform with African music superstars such as Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie, Nigerian rapper Lojay, Tanzanian rapper Diamond Platnumz, and French rapper Vegedream.

It’s worth mentioning that none of Uganda’s top singers, including BET Award winners Eddy Kenzo, Bebe Cool, Jose Chameleone, and Sheebah Karungi, have ever performed at such a venue.

Chameleone was supposed to be the first Ugandan to perform at Wembley Stadium a few years ago, but the event promoter backed out.

The Ovo Arena in Wembley has a capacity of 12,500 people and has hosted some of the biggest names in popular music over the years, including Queen, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, Cher, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Tina Turner, Madonna, ABBA, Stevie Wonder, and many more.
