Nigeria: Wizkid has come under fire for not issuing refunds for tickets months after canceling a concert in Canada.
Afrobeats superstar Wizkid has come under fire from a Nigerian businesswoman living in Canada for collecting funds for a concert that never happened.
He was supposed to perform in Edmonton, Canada in January of this year, but the covid-19 limitations forced the cancellation.
Mayowa claimed to have just learned that Big Wiz has not yet set a new date or refunded fans’ ticket purchases.
He mentioned that the tickets were about 110 Canadian dollars, but the founder of Starboy Entertainment has said nothing about a refund or substitute performance.
”Just found out that Wizkid was supposed to have a show in Edmonton in January, but didn’t show.
9 months later, no refunds, no new date. And tickets were like 110 or so,” he tweeted.
