“Tell him to fast on his own; we’re done!” — A man is enraged by Pst. Adeboye’s accusation that Christians are to blame for Nigeria’s slow growth.

Concerned Nigerians are protesting the General-Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye’s declaration of a seven-day fast and prayer period.

This follows a declaration made by the pastor on Friday night at the Redemption Camp in Mowe, Ogun State, during the 2022 International Youth Convention.

According to Adeboye, Christians are to blame for the country’s deterioration, necessitating a seven-day period of prayer and fasting.

“THAT NIGERIA IS STILL ONE UP TILL THIS MOMENT IS A SIGN OF A MIRACLE, IT SHOWS GOD STILL ANSWERS PRAYERS. WHATEVER IS GOING IN NIGERIA TODAY IS THE FAULT OF US CHRISTIANS,” HE SAID IN PART.

In response, an unidentified individual denied the preacher’s statements while insisting that the same fasting and prayer was stated during President Muhammadu Buhari’s election.

He also accused Pastor Adeboye of running a school that only the wealthy could afford, while urging him to sell one of his own jets to help the poor.
